Skillet Tips
Skillet meals are a great way to get so much flavor because all of the ingredients are cooked together in a pan! Here are a few tips that are good to know, especially if you haven’t cooked a lot in a skillet before! Good luck and enjoy!
- How to clean a skillet: You never want to put your skillet pan in the dishwasher! This will eat away at the coating. You can use mild soap and hand wash it.
- Preheat your pan: When you are cooking with a skillet, you want to take the time to heat it up on the stove before adding ingredients. This will help so that your food doesn’t stick to it. start it out on low heat and then gradually move it up to medium and then high. Heat it up for about 5 minutes before you want to use it for cooking your skillet meals!
- Dry your pan: Skillets can rust very easily (which is bad!) so make sure that after you cook with it or clean it, you dry it off all the way!
